A Professional You Can Trust

Who we are...

Private Fiduciaries of California, Inc. was founded by a former family law attorney named Rebecca Guyette who worked with families in her role as an advocate and sometimes as a mediator. During this time, she identified a critical need to assist people in a different capacity...that is "someone to serve as a trusted professional" in life when they did not have a close family member or friend that could be available to assist. Rebecca has a goal of providing independent, competent, and reliable services in a fiduciary capacity including working as someone's trustee, executor in estate administration, agent for advance health care directives.

We are a trusted assistant by your side, helping you achieve your goals while protecting yourself and your family

WHEN YOU CANNOT BE THERE~

Family members are often called upon to act as a trustees and agents in a power of Attorney or Health Care Directive . They also become involved once their loved one passes away by acting as an executor or trustee. The family member is often unavailable due to distance or their desire not to be in the role due to personal reasons such as time commitment, the complexity of the duties, and the desire not to be involved with the stress of dealing with beneficiaries. Additionally, there is an increasing amount of pressure from medical, financial, and emotional issues. As such, the need for third parties to act as a professional fiduciary is more important.

Personal Care Planning and Implimenting...

As a professional fiduciary, we must

  • Manage personal care needs to ensure that the standard of living and quality of life is maintained through appropriate housing, nutrition, medical, dental, and vision plans
  • Develop care plans with an emphasis on keeping clients in their homes whenever possible
  • Ensure transportation is available when necessary
  • Make sure all safety measures are in place
  • When housing needs change, assist in finding and securing appropriate care facilities
  • Provide expert consulting so all questions about their personal plans for healthcare, housing, and personal needs are met
  • Know each client’s medical issues and medications at all times
  • Watch for any changes that require additional assistance
  • Protect from undue influence
  • Ensure social well-being is maintained so that emotional well-being is optimized
